T.R.A.I.L. CAMPAIGN
THE T.R.A.I.L (TRACK RELATED ACTIVITIES IMPACT LIVES) PROGRAM
The NCCU Track and Field program is essentially a group of 6 individual programs that provide year round competition for the sport; Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Indoor Track and Field, and Outdoor Track and Field. This diverse group of student athletes who compete in the programs at their specialty events originate from many states; including the Carolinas, Georgia, Virginia, Florida, DC, Maryland, NJ, NY, Texas, and Tennessee to name a few.
Whether you have competed in one of these disciplines or not, being able to recruit athletes with full scholarships can have a dramatic impact on the success of the individual athlete and the program.
The T.R.A.I.L (Track Related Activities Impact Lives) program is designed to help offset the expense of recruiting top notch student-athletes. Being able to do this should help the NCCU Track & Field Program become more competitive within the Division I arena.
As an ongoing annual commitment to the program, we have established an initial goal of $25,000 per year. This can be accomplished by 50 people donating $500 per year, or $42 per month perrenally. Having a discretionary fund of $25,000 per year (T.R.A.I.L.), that can be applied to a full scholarship. So we are asking at least 50 individuals to join the T.R.A.I.L. project and help “pull” the need to use money for supplies and equipment away from the regular Track & Field budget.
